The Sale Will Now Run July 3 to July 5

We have turned the one-day sale into a 3-day event to give patrons more opportunities to find time in their busy holiday schedule. So, now you don't have to choose between that family picnic and some excellent books at bargain prices. You can have it all!

Beat the Heat and Come Indoors

Standing on 105-degree asphalt, trying to find the books you love, is not a way that most sane people like to spend their time. So, we're moving most of our books into the air conditioned Wisner Center in 2019 to help you beat the heat.

  • Wednesday, July 3: Indoors only; no bag sale; hard cover books $2 and paperbacks $1; will feature adult fiction, adult non-fiction, classics and some children's.
  • Thursday, July 4: Indoors and outdoors (The "Main Event"); $10 bag sale all day; individual books still $2 for hardcover and $1 for paperback; all categories of books.
  • Friday, July 5: Indoors (maybe some outdoors); all remaining categories; $5 bag sale.

Times

  • Wednesday, July 3: Members-Only "Early Bird Sale" from 9 to 11 am; open to the public from 11 am to 3 pm.
  • Thursday, July 4: Open to the public from 8:30 am to 3 pm.
  • Friday, July 5: Open to the public from 9 am to 2 pm.

More Parking

Because we're moving most of the books indoors, we will be freeing up almost all of the library parking lot. So, get there early and nap a spot close to the sale. It will make it easier to transport all those books to your car.

Re-Stocking throughout the Sale

We will be continuously restocking the shelves throughout the sale to make sure there are fresh and interesting choices for everyone. So, don't worry. If you can't make it to the sale early, chances are good there will still be some interesting titles for you to pick fro
